2007/2008 Playing Squad

Under 16's Information

The U16s go into the 2007/8 season with real optimism after an excellent debut season in A Division at U15.

After a difficult start to the U15 season (2006/7) the team found its self belief, started to play some attractive football and from the beginning of October lost only 1 match finishing in a very respectable 3rd position in the League and winning the Cup.

During the 2006/7 season 4 players (Richard Spink, Michael Carr, Wesley Hammond and Adam Duckworth) represented Sheffield Boys U15s.

Three players from the U15s squad have left the Club and we wish them well. Four new players have joined the squad for the 2007/8 season - a warm welcome is extended to Callum Cutler, Liam Brookfield, Ashley Oates and Carl Swift. Manager Martin Hunt is delighted with the squad which he believes is well equipped to have another good season.

Four players (Richard Spink, Michael Carr, David Hunt and Adam Duckworth) have been selected for the South Yorkshire Schools U16 representative squad. David Hunt started the season on trial at Scunthorpe United Centre of Excellence where he played the 1^st 5 matches of the season for the U16s

Carl Swift is due to start a trial at SWFC in October 2007 and Manager Martin Hunt believes a number of other players may get the opportunity to show their skills with professional football clubs before the end of the season
