The Junior League Under 9s registrar and Interserve, the people who we lease our pitches and training facilities from, have been receiving bogus calls from someone pretending to be our General Manager Dave Walker trying to arrange and cancel matches and cancel training sessions. We consider this a very serious matter and if it continues we will have no option but to report this to the Police. |

As we all know our club is all about players enjoying their game. At the end of each month a team is nominated for this award. The award is given to the team not just for winning but for showing improvement throughout the month. The Club are pleased to announce that October's Team of the Month is The Under 8 Athletic Team. Below is Manager Mark Kelly's reportFirst let me say congratulations to all to all the team for winning the award. After a difficult start the season the team have improved beyond expectations cumulating in the win against Clifton Rangers. We have seen progress in all the players and if they continue to listen and work hard in training and on the pitch things can only get better. Thanks also to my assistant Michael and the other coaches Ken and Mick for their hard work. Also thanks to the parents that help out on match days by putting up the goals posts, selling raffle tickets etc. |

Respect is The FA's programme of activities to combat unacceptable behaviour in our game at every level - on the pitch and from the sidelines. As a club we fully support this iniative and expect all players, parents, guardians and all people associated with the club to fully back this campaign. All people will shortly be receiving a form to sign to agree to the rules. As a club we would fully expect everyone to sign .A consequence of this camapign not working is there have been suggestions that the next step would be to ban parents from games and I'm sure none of us want that. Another part is that the pitches will be roped off approx 2 metres from the touch line. Only managers ,coaches and players about to go on will be allowed beyond it. Also people are to be stopped from standing behind the goals. More information on the campaign can be found at http://www.thefa.com/TheFA/Respect/ or from the link drop down box at the top of the page. Remember NO RESPECT> NO REFEREE> NO GAME |

As we all know our club is all about players enjoying their game. At the end of each month a team is nominated for this award. The award is given to the team not just for winning but for showing improvement throughout the month. The Club are pleased to announce that September's Team of the Month is The Under 13 Athletic Team. Below is manager Jeff Baines' report.Opening game away to Whiston Wildcats, appaling weather through friday & overnight put this fixture in doubt,a waterlogged pitch being the main concern. A call from Whiston on Saturday morning confirming after pitch inspection the game should be ok to be played. Arrived at Whiston and found pitch in perfect condition (what a drainage system they must have). End to end play made this an exiting encounter. Final score Whiston won 5-3.M.O.M. Aaron Webster with a fine display at right back & also getting a goal. The other goal from centre forward Brandon Grayson, the third came by an own goal by Whiston under some serious pressure. |
